Consultation on earned settlement
The government has launched a new consultation on how the UK's immigration settlement system should be reformed and implemented.
The consultation is seeking views to help shape the proposed changes to the UK’s settlement policy. This is to ensure that settlement is earned through meaningful contributions to the UK’s economy and society, rather than being granted automatically after a fixed period.
The consultation is open to anyone who wishes to share their views, including individuals, organisations, and stakeholders who may be affected or have an interest in the proposed changes.
