Clare Ridout is an experienced HR business partner at Evelina London, part of Guy’s and St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust. Over 17 years, Clare has built an in-depth understanding of the organisation, having progressed from an entry-level role to her current leadership position. A CIPD qualified professional, she has worked across a wide range of workforce specialties, bringing a practical, people-focused approach to supporting leaders and teams.
For over seven years, Clare has supported Evelina London, building strong relationships with clinical and operational teams to deliver strategic workforce solutions and champion staff experience. Known for a collaborative and results-driven approach, Clare brings a wealth of institutional and workforce knowledge and a commitment to fostering supportive, inclusive and flexible working environments, ensuring staff are empowered to deliver outstanding care to patients and families.
Most recently, Clare has played a key role in leading cultural change at Evelina London through the Flex Evelina Programme, working closely with her team to embed flexible working practices across the organisation. She has also led the implementation of the Civility Programme, supporting over 400 staff to complete training in Civility and Developing Better Relationships. As both a facilitator and champion of the initiative, Clare has helped shift perceptions, establishing civility as a core skill in fostering effective team dynamics and safeguarding patient safety.
