Michelle has worked as a human resources professional within the public sector for over 35 years.  

Most of her work has been within the NHS, but she has also worked in education and the Civil Service. She is a Fellow of the CIPD and has held her accreditation since 1993 along with having a Masters in Senior Healthcare Leadership with the University of Birmingham/NHS Leadership Academy.

In the past she has been involved in delivering several national projects including transferring staff and nurse students from the NHS into the university sector as part of Project 2k and working on a national initiative to implement Urban Search and Rescue Paramedics following the 2007 London terrorist attacks.

Since commencing at NHS Employers, she has supported work on retaining BTECs in health and social care, whilst supporting the introduction of T-Levels, highlighting ethical international recruitment and inputting into immigration changes to support the retention of the NHS workforce.  She has also delivered a range of projects for NHS England and Department for Education.
