Philip is a practice educator at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and diagnostic academies manager for the London region.
He is a diagnostic radiographer with 18 years’ experience across both NHS and private sectors. Qualifying from the University of Liverpool in 2007, he has taken on clinical, lecturer and more recently senior leadership roles.
He has developed a strong academic background in education and technology, with a passion for workforce development and innovation in clinical practice.
Recently, the London Imaging Academy learning platform, developed in his role as clinical director has been shortlisted for a HSJ award. Philip also led a successful NHS England pilot of virtual support technology which was completed in 2024. He now continues to work closely with this technology, delivering a pioneering service within the NHS, in collaboration with his colleagues at a Community Diagnostic Centre, winning a highly commended HSJ award in 2025.
