Brian Morton

Brian Morton, Associate Director, Employment Relations, Royal College of Nursing

Brian leads the RCN UK Employment Relations Department. He has over 30 years’ experience in the health and care sector - dealing with complex employment matters, leading negotiations, influencing and contributing to workforce policy development.

Partnership working has been a consistent part of Brian’s delivery of his role, alongside a strong industrial relations approach, focused on protecting and improving employment and working conditions and advancing the nursing profession.

He has represented the RCN and advocated for the nursing workforce through NHS partnership fora and, most recently, the DHSC-led Adult Social Care Fair Pay Agreement Working Group.
