NHS Employers negotiates nationally on behalf of employers with the NHS trade unions on national terms and conditions of service (TCS) and pay arrangements. Contract documentation and guidance can be found on each of the national medical and dental contracts below:

- salaried dentists and salaried general practitioners.
NHS employers is also responsible for representing the employer perspective on policy proposals, and to provide guidance and support to employers in relation to medical education and workforce supply arrangements.
