Louise Wheeler

Louise leads the Future People Leaders Programme, supporting the development of aspiring deputy director people leaders across the NHS. Through workforce solutions, at NHS Employers she also delivers organisational development consultancy, helping organisations and systems strengthen leadership, workforce capability, culture and change.

Louise is an organisational psychologist specialising in leadership and organisational transformation, with more than 20 years’ experience working with complex organisations to strengthen leadership, culture and system capability. She has worked across the NHS, UK Civil Service and global commercial contexts, partnering with senior leaders, boards and executive teams to navigate complex challenges, ambiguity and sustained operational pressure.

Her work combines strategic insight, improvement, organisational development practice and skilled facilitation to help leaders align around shared purpose and translate ambition into practical action.

Louise holds master’s degrees in occupational psychology (MSc), psychology (MSc) and organisational development (MA) and the EMCC diploma in professional coach-mentoring. She is a fellow of the CIPD and brings specialist experience in systems thinking, psychology, profiling, OD and human systems dynamics.
