Our Health Heroes celebrates its 10th year!
The Our Health Heroes Awards celebrated its 10th anniversary in style with winners from across the country being recognised for their contributions to the NHS, health and care.
The prestigious awards, which took place in London on Wednesday 18 June, recognise staff working in healthcare, often behind the scenes in support of medical staff, nurses and allied health professionals.
NHS Employers was proud to once again sponsor the awards. Assistant director of workforce solutions, Sam Owen, presenting the winner and runners up of the Outstanding Lifetime Contribution to Healthcare with their trophies. This year's gold award went to Nyree Gledhill of Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, for her contributions to the trust over a number of years.
Chair of the NHS Alliance, Victor Adebowale, presented an honorary award to former health secretary Alan Milburn.
