SAS Week 26: SAS advocacy and wellbeing
SAS advocacy and wellbeing
Today's SAS Week theme focuses on advocacy and wellbeing. By supporting the wellbeing of SAS doctors and amplifying their voices, organisations can foster a more inclusive, supportive and engaged workforce where SAS doctors can develop, thrive and reach their full potential.
The SAS advocate role
SAS advocates play a key role in representing and supporting specialty and specialist doctors within their organisations. Acting as a dedicated voice for the SAS workforce, they help strengthen engagement, foster collaboration and ensure SAS doctors' perspectives are considered in workforce planning and decision-making. By providing support, sharing good practice and promoting development opportunities, SAS advocates help create a more inclusive and positive working environment, benefiting both SAS doctors and the organisations they serve.
See the SAS advocate infographic that highlights the the advocate's key role and responsibilities.
