SAS Week champion network

Be part of the SAS Week celebrations and highlight your support on our supporter map.

Publication date: 3 September 2026

Showcase your organisation's support for specialty, associate specialist and specialist doctors and dentists during SAS Week and help demonstrate the collective impact of the SAS workforce across the NHS.

This SAS Week, we're inviting NHS organisations across the country to join our new SAS Week champion network and be featured on our interactive champion map.

The map will showcase organisations that are celebrating and recognising the invaluable contribution of specialty and specialist (SAS) doctors, helping to demonstrate the national reach and impact of SAS Week.

Whether you're planning a local event, sharing staff stories or simply taking time to recognise your SAS workforce, we'd love you to be part of it.

Put your organisation on the map and help us celebrate SAS doctors and dentists across the NHS.

Why participate

Join organisations across the NHS in celebrating the contribution of SAS doctors. By taking part, you can:

  • celebrate your SAS workforce
  • showcase local activity
  • demonstrate your commitment to recognition and inclusion
  • inspire other organisations to take part.

How to take part

Make a SAS Week pledge

As part of your organisation's support for SAS Week, we encourage you to make a simple pledge outlining how you will recognise and celebrate your SAS workforce. Your pledge can be shared on the supporter map to inspire others and demonstrate your commitment to valuing SAS doctors.

During SAS Week, we will:

  • Celebrate our SAS workforce.
  • Share a story highlighting the experience or achievements of an SAS doctor.
  • Showcase the contribution SAS doctors make to patient care and services.
  • Promote career development and progression opportunities for SAS doctors.
  • Organise a local recognition or celebration event.
  • Share learning, resources and good practice with colleagues.

You can choose one or more of these actions, or create a pledge that reflects your organisation's local plans and priorities.
