Tackling bullying and harassment in the NHS
Speakers

The latest NHS Staff Survey findings show that 25 per cent of NHS staff have experienced bullying, harassment or abuse in the last 12 months from patients. 9 per cent have experienced this behaviour from managers and 18 per cent from colleagues. This increases for staff with protected characteristics, with over 20 per cent of BAME staff; and 25 per cent of transgender staff reporting harassment, bullying or abuse from other colleagues. This is estimated to cost NHS England over £2 billion per annum.
Our webinar took place during Equality, Diversity and Human Rights Week and shared actionable insights on how to tackle bullying and harassment within the NHS.
We heard expert insights from Dr Doyin Atewologun, an award winning psychologist, innovator and inclusion expert. In addition, a well-performing NHS organisation, University Hospitals Dorset shared how to make measurable, practical organisational change that sticks.
