Join The NHS Alliance's EDI improvement programmes

The NHS Alliance (formerly the NHS Confederation and NHS Providers) is inviting applications for two equality, diversity and inclusion improvement programmes delivered through a mix of face-to-face and virtual sessions. These programmes provide valuable opportunities for peer learning and networking with leaders from across the health and care system.

Diversity in Health and Care Partners Programme

This organisational development programme has been designed to help EDI, HR, OD and staff network leads deliver EDI work on a day-to-day basis. It will help them understand what good looks like, make sense of EDI frameworks, national reporting requirements and local workforce priorities and challenges. 

Delivered through a year-long series of events, it’s designed around the ambitions and requirements of the  NHS Long Term Workforce Plan, NHS EDI improvement plan and the recently launched NHS Staff Standards.

Tackling Inequalities Leadership Programme

A ten-month development programme for senior leaders responsible for advancing equality, diversity and inclusion across health and care organisations. Beginning in October 2026, the programme has been co-designed with NHS leaders and will equip participants with the knowledge, confidence and practical tools needed to influence strategic decision-making, address inequalities and drive meaningful organisational change.
