
Dr Ronke Akerele
Dr Ronke Akerele is the National Director of Staff Experience and Engagement; she has the remit to lead the ambition to make the NHS the best place to work, which enables a great experience for staff, and therefore a great care experience for patients and carers.
Before her current role, which she has held since 2020, she spent the previous nine years as a board executive director across various NHS trusts.
Prior to her executive director roles, Ronke spent thirteen years of her career in management consultancy, working on roles in strategy execution, information technology, performance management, and change and programme management within private and public sector organisations.
Ronke is a Council Board Member of Goldsmiths, University of London and an honorary lecturer at Imperial College, London.
She holds a doctorate in organisational change, an Executive MBA, an MSc in Information Technology, and a BSc in Economics. She has undertaken Executive Education programmes at both the London Business School and Harvard Business School.
