1 April 2019 marks the start of the second year of the three year deal agreed by the NHS Staff Council in 2018, covering staff employed on the NHS Terms and Conditions of Service.
The NHS Staff Council has jointly agreed this document, to provide staff and employers with key information on year two of the deal.
Please note - this document was updated on 24 April 2019 to amend one of the bulletpoints, which previously advised on which organisation should fund the payment of the one off non-consolidated lump sum payment in circumstances where employees become eligible but subsequently change employers before the payment has been made.
Due to the complex nature of funding arrangements this advice has been removed. Should organisations have queries on their funding arrangements, they are advised to contact NHS Improvement directly.
