Taking ownership of agile working: how do we re-establish the foundations for where, when, and how we work?

This webinar will look at the latest evidence-based practice to support employers with offering flexibility by default to the current and future NHS workforce. 

agiLab is a collaboration between University of Sussex and the NHS to develop research-led best practices for effective agile working.

Sessions

  • Dr Emma Russell, director of agiLab, will open the session and provide a general research round up with a focus on constant connectivity. 

  • Professor Heejung Chung, Kings College London, will present on 'The flexibility paradox; why more freedom at work can lead to more work and what we can do about it.' 

  • Nicola Morar and Aliya Rehman, programme leads, NHS Employers, will lead a discussion on the NHS Long Term Workforce Plan - exploring whether agile apprenticeships and placements can help attract and retain the next generation of NHS workers. 

  • An NHS best practice exemplar will look at how employers can help workers find autonomy in agile work.
