BDA consultants and hospital dental trainees announce strike action

The British Dental Association (BDA) announces further strikes for its members in September and October.

The British Dental Association (BDA) has released more strike dates with its consultant and hospital dental trainee members preparing for coordinated walk outs next week and in October.

Strike action will be a combination of Christmas Day level cover and full walk outs.

These strikes will be based on Christmas Day levels of cover, meaning emergency care will still be provided.

7am Tuesday 19 September until 7am on Thursday 21 September - 48 hours.
7am Monday 2 October until 7am Thursday 5 October - 72 hours.

Consultants have a mandate to strike across 40 trusts.

Hospital dental trainees

7am Wednesday 20 September - strike with Christmas Day levels of cover.
7am Thursday 21 until 7am 23 September - 48 hour full walk out.
7am 2 October until 7am 5 October - 72 hours with Christmas Day levels of cover.

Hospital dental trainees have a mandate to strike across 15 trusts.
