BMA consultants announce further strike action

Details of the consultants industrial action and results of the August ballots from the BDA.

The British Medical Association (BMA) has today (24 August) announced that its consultants will take further strike action in October, in a 72-hour walk out which is the longest period of action from this group to date.

BMA consultant strike dates confirmed so far 

  • 19-20 September - 48 hours
  • 2-5 October - 72 hours

British Dental Association (BDA) 

The BDA has also announced the outcome of its August ballot for its hospital dental trainee members. They have voted to strike across 15 trusts and the date is yet to be confirmed
