Exception reporting data collection
NHS England will be contacting data submitters regarding the July exception reporting data collection.
This collection requires organisations to submit the standardised data included within their quarterly board reports through the NHS England data collection system.
The data collection is undertaken on a quarterly basis, in line with the exception reporting reforms, which state that:
The guardian of safe working hours’ quarterly report (including annual summary reports) will be standardised to a national template jointly produced in guidance to allow central data processing.
The information collected will support national stakeholders in assessing exception reporting activity and understanding the impact of the reforms at a national level.
