New pay circular for medical and dental staff 2023
Pay and Conditions Circular (M&D) 4/2023 has now been published and informs employers of the pay arrangements for doctors and dentists covered by the national medical and dental terms and conditions of service, which apply from 1 April 2023.
This pay award applies to hospital medical and dental staff, doctors and dentists in public health, the community health service, and salaried primary dental care (England).
The circular details the new pay uplift figures for doctors and dentists in England following recommendations made by the Doctors’ and Dentists’ Review Body (DDRB). It is expected to be paid into September 2023 salaries.
