The SAS contract reform in 2021 introduced several safeguards to support the health and wellbeing of SAS doctors which includes a maximum of 40 per cent to be worked out of hours.
We have produced an FAQ to help employers interpret the 60/40 per cent split as set out in schedule 4, paragraph 11 of the SAS terms and conditions of service.
