SAS excellence in development awards now live
Applications are open for the SEiD award, this award celebrates NHS organisations that support and develop its SAS doctors.
NHS England has announced the launch of its excellence recognition awards for specialty, associate specialist and specialist (SAS) doctors.
The SAS Excellence in Development (SEiD) Recognition Award has been created by NHS England to incentivise employers to ensure their SAS doctors have an improved professional experience and to recognise the skills and expertise of the SAS workforce.
Organisations can achieve gold, silver or bronze, based on eight criteria that show how they tangibly support their SAS doctors.
The award has been co-designed between NHS England, SAS doctors, Academy of Royal Colleges, General Medical Council, British Medical Association and employers.
