Lisa Crichton-Jones

Lisa joined NHS Employers in July 2023 as assistant director for the North within the National Engagement Service, bringing with her a wealth of experience gained over more than two decades in the NHS. 

In April 2026, she moved into the Workforce Solutions directorate, where she plays a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the service, developing new ways of working, leading communications and marketing activity, and driving business development opportunities. She also leads the development of the affiliate model and acts as the principal relationship lead.

Before joining NHS Employers, Lisa held positions as chief people officer for more than 12 years and has extensive executive-level experience across acute, mental health and system settings.

Throughout her 27-year NHS career, she has frequently contributed to regional and national workforce initiatives. 

Lisa is a former chair of both the North East Chief People Officer Network and the Social Partnership Forum. 

She is a Fellow of the CIPD, an executive coach, accredited mediator and MBTI practitioner.
