National job evaluation trainers needed
NHS Employers needs to increase its pool of national job evaluation (JE) trainers to meet increased training demand. We are therefore seeking expressions of interest from experienced JE practitioners with expertise in both the Job Evaluation Scheme (JES) delivery and local training.
If you meet these requirements, please complete this expression of interest form.
Further detail
The job evaluation training offer in England is delivered primarily online through virtual sessions; however, some face-to-face delivery will also be required. Trainers are expected to commit to a minimum of two full working days per quarter.
Trainers are engaged on an affiliate basis and receive a set daily rate. Payment can either be made directly to individuals working on a freelance basis or to their employing organisation to support backfill arrangements, where agreed locally. This arrangement may be particularly beneficial where the application aim is to strengthen local processes, increase local capacity, and improve partnership working.
The knowledge and experience our trainers bring from working with the NHS Job Evaluation Scheme (JES) are invaluable to the successful application of the scheme across the system. Applicants should be able to demonstrate up-to-date JE knowledge and recent practical experience in job matching, consistency checking, and analysis and evaluation (JAJE) work.
By completing this form, you are expressing your interest in delivering training on job evaluation at a national level across England. Please note: colleagues from the devolved administrations are also welcome to apply on a freelance basis, although agreement must first be reached with the respective administration.
