Resident doctors accept DHSC offer

The BMA has announced that resident doctors have voted to accept the latest offer from the government.

Today, 29 June, the British Medical Association (BMA) has announced that resident doctors have voted to accept the offer from the government which will end their industrial relations dispute. This is a significant step to move forward in rebuilding relations after previous industrial action. 

Next steps

Following this outcome, NHS Employers will begin working with the Department of Health and Social Car (DHSC) and the BMA to clarify the implementation process for their deal and we will share further information with employers as soon as the details are confirmed.
