Resident doctors announce strike dates

The British Medical Association Junior Doctors’ Committee (BMA JDC) has announced that resident doctors in England will stage a fresh round of industrial action later this month.
Resident doctors, formerly known as junior doctors, will walk out from 7am on 25 July until 7am on 30 July.
This follows the renewed mandate for industrial action announced yesterday by the BMA. The ballot saw a turnout of 55 per cent of those eligible to vote, with 90 per cent of those voting in favour of taking action. The result grants the BMA a six-month mandate for industrial action, covering the period from 21 July 2025 to 7 January 2026.
