The Department for Business and Trade is currently consulting on reforms to the Working Time Regulations, holiday pay, and the transfer of undertakings (protection of employment) regulations (TUPE). In response, NHS Employers is seeking views from NHS organisations for their views on the proposals.
The department has identified areas that it believes could benefit from reform, to ensure that the regulations are fit for purpose for both businesses and workers.
NHS Employers will be putting in a response to the consultation from a national NHS employment perspective, and are asking for employer organisations to provide feedback specifically relating to:
- Record keeping requirements under the Working Time Regulations
- Simplifying annual leave and holiday pay calculations in the Working Time Regulations.
There is also an opportunity to share general comments on TUPE arrangements.
This information will be collated and developed into a formal response on behalf of employers, and then shared with the government.
