RCN strike ballot results
Outcome of The Royal College of Nursing’s strike ballot, which sought a country-wide mandate across England.
The Royal College of Nursing has announced that they have not reached the turnout required to undertake further industrial action.
Members were asked to vote for a fresh mandate for industrial action between 23 May and 23 June 2023.
Although approximately 84 per cent of RCN members voted in favour of strike action, with an overall turnout of 43.4 per cent, the ballot fell short of the 50 per cent required for the result to stand.
