BMA senior doctors to launch indicative ballot in England

The British Medical Association (BMA) has announced that it will be launching an indicative ballot for members of its consultant and SAS (specialty, associate specialist and specialist doctors) committee. Both committees entered into dispute with government and wrote to the Secretary of State requesting negotiations over pay.
The BMA will be asking members if they are willing to take part in industrial action with the indicative ballot starting on 21 July and closing on 1 September.
