Introduction
A bank of training and engagement materials for job evaluation (JE) leads to use for sessions with line managers, HR professionals and employees of the organisations. This resource bank contains session plans, presentations and additional materials designed to support JE leads in:
- raising awareness of the purpose and benefits to others of the Job Evaluation Scheme
- sharing best practice for example, writing effective job descriptions for panels
- raising the profile of JE leads to ensure the role receives the necessary recognition within the organisation.

Example session plans and presentations
This section brings together example session plans and presentations shared by other Job Evaluation Community of Practice members.
These session plans assist in designing structured training and awareness sessions led by knowledgeable practitioners in job evaluation. These plans include slides, tutor notes and accompanying booklet to guide trainers through the principles and processes of job evaluation and writing job descriptions. Trainers can deliver sessions via MS Teams or in person, adapting the content to allow for interactive sessions.
These presentations cover the principles and processes of job evaluation. Trainers can use these materials to deliver structured sessions that ensure participants understand the importance of fair and consistent job evaluation practice and the creation of effective job descriptions.
