Statistics and key facts on the impact of bullying on workforce wellbeing.

This infographic, developed by the NHS Staff Council's Health, Safety and Wellbeing Partnership Group, provides a range of up-to-date key statistics about the impact of bullying on workforce wellbeing.

Protecting staff from the detrimental effects that bullying can have on an individual's overall health and wellbeing is a key priority for employers, and is particularly important with the increasing demands and pressure from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2019 NHS staff survey showed that:

  • 19 per cent of staff have experienced bullying or harassment in the last year from colleagues.
  • 13 per cent of staff experienced bullying or harassment in the last year from their manager.

This infographic, developed by the NHS Staff Council's Health, Safety and Wellbeing Partnership Group, provides a range of up-to-date key statistics about the impact of bullying on workforce wellbeing.

Employers can download the infographic to raise awareness about the importance of tackling bullying in the NHS as part of their business case to further the workforce wellbeing agenda at a strategic level with senior leaders.
