Our aim is to be the recognised voice of the NHS HR community, and to support workforce leaders to deliver better HR solutions that will improve patient care.
HR director network
The London HR director network provides an opportunity for HR and workforce leaders in the NHS to come together every six weeks, to share best practice and tackle strategic workforce issues affecting employers across the capital. For more information on this network email email@example.com.
We facilitate partnership working through the Social Partnership Forum in London, which meets on a quarterly basis. This forum is a platform for management and staff side representatives to discuss and debate the strategic issues affecting the NHS workforce. For more details visit the London regional SPF web page.
NHS Life for London Workers (March 2016)
We are working with NHS organisations in London and trade unions to make sure all mayoral candidates are aware of the growing challenge of recruiting and retaining NHS staff in London. Over the past eight months we have worked together to understand the impact of rising travel and housing costs on NHS workers in London. Using data for more than 100,000 staff we have produced an infographic and data pack which sets out the impact on our staff and the need for action. We are asking all the mayoral candidates to commit to two specific actions:
- To work with London's NHS employers, Transport for London, NHS staff and their representatives to reduce transport costs for key NHS staff.
- To provide key worker housing and prioritise new housing developments for key NHS workers.
We made a public announcement about his work on 4 March. You can help us to make the case for our recommendations by sharing our messages with your stakeholders.
